WTT: Mint BlackBerry KEY2

The device is basically brand new, when I ordered the KEY2 I was sent the black instead of the silver that I had ordered.. So I'm looking to trade my black for a silver.

Looking at maybe setting up a BlackBerry PRIV on Verizon... would this be a good choice still? I need a larger screen as I'm always watching videos and the key 2 is just too small... should I go for it or just go for the S10 5G (only for screen size not 5G) or Note 10 6.75"? my S8 is kinda killing itself so need to update my main phone soon

calendar on my new (replacement) Blackberry Bold 9900 is wicked wonky

So happy to have found this secret club - I love the Bold 9900! My original (AT&T) was functioning beautifully since 2011 but suddenly died 2 days ago - I had integrated my gmail on it via BIS and was syncing my gcal (and ical) with an app called BGSync. (still available on app world.) I got a new AT & T Bold, got all my emails up and running/integrated again w/BIS (I just love me some email filters!) but the calendar starts with today. No yesterday. (We'll see if today shows up tomorrow...) WTF? It was fine when i first turned it on so I don't think it's a dud device issue - it was normal for the first couple of days, albeit empty/no events. Could i have done something that deleted the past? Is there some weird setting I ticked? (I checked options, calendar settings, etc - don't even see an option for "start with today.")

And equally important - I can't get BGSync to work anymore, even though this device is identical to my old one and connected to my google account in all the same ways. Regular calendar synchronization doesn't work w/gcal, but never did (or at least not since 2014 or whenever Google turned its back on blackberry). So my 2nd question after calendar starting today is: is anyone here familiar with BGSync? Or some gcal (or ical) workaround?

Also FWIW my BeBuzz doesn't work anymore either - there were 5 contacts i assigned special colors to. This was a huge deal for me. If i can't have a calendar or tailored LED light, the device loses its usefulness. (I don't care about anything but email, text, phone, memo, and calendar functions - this was the PERFECT device for me.) Help please anyone?! Pleeeeze...

Leap - bbve is missing application permission

I haven't a problem with my camera before until after just a week ago when I tried to use camera,then I got an error message that reads "bbve is missing application permission:camera"
Am using a BlackBerry leap,i then deleted my bbve and downloaded it again and again,it still does the same thing,i then wiped my phone to factory settings thinking that it work after doing that but with no luck,it still does that.

Key2 LE can not distinguish people who have the same last 7 digits of their number

If you have contacts having at least the same last 7 digits of their numbers, then most of the BlackBerry Key can not distinguish these numbers in call manager.
To try this error, you change one in three first digits of any your contact phone number, then using that number calls back to your Blackberry Key and see how stupid the BB Android is

How do I un-enroll from beta!?

Hi all.

I've signed up to bb beta for apps and wanted to Un-enrol in this. I've been online and cancelled my programme but I'm still getting the beta apps through the Google play store.

Any advice?

The reason is the beta apps are causing massive power drain on my battery and also the beta keyboard app is just totally naff. Can't use any of my programmed words, it just resets it all to factory.

need to swap out encrypted priv sim

my priv is fudged right now. It was working fine (albeit a little slow) and then out of nowhere it has decided to stop charging (?) so it has now died and I can't get it to charge/turn back on. I think it's an issue with the charge port very randomly as I have tried the hard software reboot as well as different cables and power sources. It hasn't been mistreated or damaged in the two hours between when the charging issues started and when I had last charged it (I had been on a train headed to toronto and it was in my bag on my lap).

Unfortunately while this hopefully gets fixed I am without a phone. Is it possible to put this sim into the sim port for another phone as my phone info was encrypted I am not sure if other android phones such as a samsung s5 will read/accept this sim. I could also put it in my blackberry q10.

I only ask about this compatibility because when I got this priv it said very clearly to not use the sim from my last bb in it and to only use the new sim due to changes in encryption. I don't know a tonne about this and so I don't want to potentially screw it up and lose my data.

Phone App - Favorites keeps on disappearing

Hi All

Starting about maybe like a month ago or so... The phone app and the favorites that are either auto added, or I add them myself, keep on disappearing!...

They will disappears like in one day or a few days after I have regardless of one or a few favorites ...

I cant uninstall the phone app as I wanted to try this.. but no luck..

Any suggestions?

keypad doesn't work during calls on Q20

I know I am missing something simple here, but I have 2 blackberry phones a Classic Q20 and a 9780 and both work perfectly except when I am asked to input a number during a call (eg 'select option 1, 2, or 3 etc). This they will not let me do. I have tried both touchscreen and Keypad, but no response. Is it possible to activate them so they are usable during calls.

Unlocking a BB Classic

I've recently purchased second-hand Blackberry Classic which apparently is locked to Telus. Thre were 4 attempts remaining, Called Telus support and given an unblock code however Telus support says it is already unlocked interesting

Yes the phone is a Telus Phone iaw IMEI check and the device is not blacklisted.

Inserted my current sin card East-link and a notification indicates Sim Card Network Blocked

Navigated to the Security and Privacy / SIM Card The device is locked because the Unlock Network button is available

Entered in the Unlock-code provided by Telus 3 times and did not work

1 Attempts remaining.

Headed to a Bell outlet to see if I could borrow a Bell Sim Card to help with this problem (AWESOME) they let me borrow a Bell simcard of to the Telus store a few doors down. discussed the problem but not much the store can do as the outlets cannot provide unlocking services. (only calling/online) no worries I asked to try out a Telusd card and yes the phone works on Telus network...hmmm more interesting

Return the Bell Card to Bell and thanked them for helping me out.

Returned Home called Telus tech support and according to Telus it is a Telus phone and unlocked. and the Unlocked code was correct though Telus has said on my first call the phone was unlocked.

Telus escalated the issue I am hoping this is a server glitch somehow I am expecting a call back in a few days.
I've re-installed BB10 with Auto laoder no problems same isse

Question has anyone else come across an issue like this were a phone was locked to a carrier at one point but was unlocked and confirmed by the carrier as being unlocked but the phone indicates it is Network Locked

I've never had this issue with other BB10 Phone

Transferring contacts from one Bold to another in this day and age!

Y'all may laugh at me but...I'm a UK resident with a Vodafone sim-only deal because, well, I freaking love my Bold.
My Bold finally gave me White Screen of Death last week and I bought another one on Ebay. Haha the woman hadn't wiped anything off it! Bizarre. Anyway a nice lad at the Vodafone shop did it for me and transferred my sim, but nobody there had ever seen a Bold.
Damn me, but very little transferred over to be honest. I am wondering how on earth to transfer the information and contacts from one (screenless but functioning) device to the other. I can't find reliable desktop software and have no idea where to look.
I did have some Blackberry software but recently had to do a System Restore which wiped out almost all programmes!
I realise this is a question from Gormless Inc, but thought I'd throw it out there as this is an amazing community.

Google photo sync

Try to keep this simple as Google does not do such.

I have 2 gmail accounts. One I just wanted for emails and the other is email and stuff from playstore. I like the photo sync to my main account but still like pictures on my SD card. This was all fine until I seen it was also putting pictures on my second account. So without thinking to much I deleted them all. Then later seen it cleaned off my SD card as well. But all is still good with my main account so that is fine kind of. So in all this can someone explain to me how to stop sync from second account. I know I have unlimited space there as well so I maybe shouldn't be bothered. It is just I take pictures of delivery tickets and then in a few days delete them. The way it is now I have to go into both accounts in photos to get rid of them. If I turn off sync it turns off both accounts from what I am seeing. If it is deleting from cloud and my phone why does it not delete from second account cloud when it syncs. Obviously only syncs from phone to cloud?

Hub / BBMe Issue

BBMe was appearing just fine in Hub list of accounts, chats showed fine. Now BBMe has vanished from Hub, chats don't show. BBMe works fine just not in Hub. I didn't touch anything! Whaaa...?

I lost my Red Passport by leaving it on a train. Having unfortunately not turned on the location tracking feature on BB Protect, I was unable to recover the device. :(

Though I have a KEYOne for app usage, I don't want to let go of the BB10 OS on a PKB as far as I can continue on.

So... I got myself a used Classic off Amazon for $50, and it shows up tomorrow! Can't wait!

A couple of questions for those of you Passport users who also use Classics:

- Do you find yourself missing the capacitive touch?
- How does the trackpack usage for scrolling feel compared to the capacitive touch keyboard?
- How does the pace of typing and clicking on the autocomplete text feel versus swiping up to complete the word?

How to Fix Display Resolution?

Today the viewable width of my screen mysteriously decreased in size and now my resolution is incorrectly proportioned. Comparing the screenshots of my home screen, notice the 3:55 pic has an elongated look due to the black bars. Changing the display settings hasn't corrected the issue, nor has restarting the phone.

I have used Incipio cases for my Blackberry's for a while now and I love how durable they are, but of course now Incipio doesn't make one for the Key 2. What are some cases that you all use that are durable and/or heavy duty?

Been reading threads that Key2 Red Edition has sold out, discontinued, etc in multiple sites (NA, EU).. But what about South East Asia (not china)? Any news if it's even making its way here? Malaysia, indonesia, singapore?

I have Keyone silver, been wanting to upgrade to Key2, but all we have in malaysia is just black edition.. And I dont want black edition.

When browsing around the forums I have come across two different builds of BBHTool v2.4.9.7a. Here is the version which starts properly on my system:
